EDIT: Just to let you know... I have no idea if edited this description is making this reappear in your devWATCH or not, but if it ever does, it's usually because I'm updating the link to the download since I occasionally have to reupload it.
Right, here be the latest version of the game. It's actually slightly smaller than the previous version because I discovered a song in the music folder that wasn't used in the game but I forgot to remove. It's actually the unedited version of the music in the very last scene of the Good Ending.
Anyways!
I thought I'd upload this version seperately since the previous one was so full of edits it's confusing to work out what to do.
Firstly, two important things:
The .lzh file (the huge archive file that is about 90mb) MUST be renamed "Phantasm Dyad.lzh" or else the setup won't be able to find it. That's "Phantasm Dyad" with a space in the middle, not an underscore like the one you download. Also, obviously, the _1-3 at the end must be removed. So yes, remember "Phantasm Dyad.lzh" is what the file must be named.
Due to the hefty amount of changes in this version, you CANNOT copy your save files across from a previous version to play them on this one. This is due to the fact that this version now has a game time feature, and since you could copy an almost completed file across, the game time would start counting from 0 here since it hasn't been counting for the rest of your game, thus allowing you to achieve the best possible rank easily. As such, I have put in a bit of code that resets the game if you haven't got the stopwatch item - which you get automatically in this version - but can't get at all in the old version. As such it goes without saying that copying files from this version into the old one will just confuse the game and probably make it crash.
If you are concerned about the content of the game, age-rating wise, I would say this game is safe for anyone over 12, but younger is probably okay, I just give this age limit as the safest option. Check the "Game Content Information" section of the Readme if you want to know EXACTLY what questionable content is within the game.
Since veteran players will probably want to know what's in this new version, I shall tell thee:
- Obviously, even more bugs and glitches fixed, including, but not limited to, the teleports that previously only worked if activated in order, the passageway's puzzles have now been edited a little so you can re-enter from the courtyard as well as the Main Hall and by means of teleport, and the rocks no longer slide about of their own accord sometimes (sorry if you were one of the handful of people who were only able to solve some puzzles by cheating with this glitch, lol).
- The game, as mentioned, now contains a timer that ranks you at the end of the good ending. There are six ranks to get, and if you can get one of the top three...
- There is a new secret area with a minigame, some character cameos, and a third ending within...
- You can now choose a colour icon to represent your own save files should more than one person want to play the game. Alternatively, should for some reason you want a save file to be cued at a certain point always, you can use a certain colour to represent it.
- Due to popular demand, some movable blocks have been inserted in the final boss arena, so the ghosts can no longer get onto the four podiums easily. Well... for the first half anyway. Just make sure not to push them when you first arrive in the room - it saves their locations. X3
- Some sprites and cut-scene artwork have been touched up, mainly those of Alice (yes, I touched up Alice lololololol).
- And finally, the title screen, opening, and good ending have been altered a bit to connect to the comic a bit more, by having the title screen now resemble the background art style I plan to use for Series 2 (since this game is set within Series 2) - see also the background for the cover page I posted yesterday, there are now also a montage of various comic pages during the opening, including a page from the yet-to-be-finished episode 6, hehe, and last but not least, the intro and good ending now contain a title card (like on page 2 of each comic episode) and an "END" card (like at the end of each comic episode) respectively. I want this game to be considered just as much part of the series as each episode of the comic, so yush, I'm surprised I didn't think of it before. X3
Well, that is all, veterans, hope you enjoy this new version of the game, and newcomers, uhh, hope you enjoy it too!
And even though I say this all the time, seriously, thanks to EVERYONE, even those who merely played it without giving feedback. A game needs to be played after all. D= It really means a lot to me considering how much work I put into this. I'm proud to report, as far as I'm aware, it is completely glitch free now, but if not, please, do let me know. I want it to be!
I just got finished playing through the game. It was very fun, and I liked your selection of music. Some of your lineart and shading were a bit jaggy in the cutscenes though, but besides, they were well done.

Yeah, the artwork was jaggy, unfortunately that's just a result of the game playing at such a low resolution.
