Lemonade

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 20, 2008, 10:51 AM

Oh boy have I had some fun.

Let's go in order:

WALL-E

See it. It's taken them a while but they finally beat Toy Story for me. It really is the best Pixar ever, made me cry a hell of a lot in the second half somehow (that varies from person to person so no garuntees if you like crying at movies), gorgeous animation, character and set design, a fantastic soundtrack both in terms of music and the adorable communication between the robots and just... awesome. One of the quotes in the advert for it from reviews is "Believe the hype!" well... Believe the quote. It's that good.

LATITUDE FESTIVAL

Oh my goodness me was this fun. Let's try and cover everything.

We just had a day ticket although the festival was about 3 days long. We headed there for about 10:30 (briefly stopping off at a lil place called the Half Way Café for a quick break), and set up our tent and such. We headed in and I by complete coincidence bumped into an old high school/college friend Tom whom I hadn't seen since college. We just chatted for a minute and I didn't see him again after that but t'was cool nonetheless. Following this we got ourselves some foodles... as in we got food... which was noodles. Was rather yummy. We then mooched around a bit and I bought a rabbit hand puppet which was adorable with floppy ears and everything hehe. We named him Lemonade after the drink that Molly soon became addicted to. There was a stand that made it in the traditional way (lemon juice, water and sugar). Absoloutely delicious and very refreshing.

We mooched around a bit more, went through a cool forest where they had lots of art up dotted around. There were also pink sheep and giant paper water lillies... Very cool.

We then saw a band who at first thought were Bearsuit but we're not sure now. Either way they sounded awesome and had cool costumes with bits of mirror all over them and they played violins and cellos and guitar and such. Weird vocals too.

We also had crepes, Molly had chocolate and banana and I had walnuts, maple syrup and cream but then it suddenly started tippping it down so they got all soggy. It only rained for about a minute though so we just stood there and chortled at all the people running about to cover. A couple of people sat under some sandwich board menus from the stalls as well which was amusing. Soon after we saw Bill Bailey in the comedy tent which was very funny. He did lots of awesome things with music and theme tunes and such.

We then popped back to our tent and amused ourselves for a while, before returning to the village (name of the area with all the stuff going on) shortly afterwards to get some more foods (yummy spicy chicken with salad and chips and veggies and garlic mayo on top 83 ), and listened to Seasick Steve who was good but not really my style. Then we got even more lemonade and Molly got some corn and we sat down again in preperation for Sigur Rós while listening to the band on before them, Elbow who were good but... nothing special. And then there was Sigur Rós which was zomg awesometastic on toast with beans and jelly and custard and things. They did a lot of my favourite songs which was good, including finishing on Untitled 8 which was just perfect of course since that's like my favourite song evar. Was quite the spectacle visually too, there were a lot of neat effects with lighting and smoke and confetti and everyone on stage was often doing fun things. Also for the final song a really pretty full moon appeared to the left of the arena which was awesome. To top it all off we saw a shooting star as we left the arena.

Sleeping was lame due to the tent not being all that comfy but I managed to get to sleep eventually. It was all very very awesome and we're thinking of going for the whole weekend next year maybe with a group of people depending on money and what bands/comedians there'll be etc. All in all it was very awesome and I could recommend it to any music fans really since it's a very varied fun and quite frankly family friendly place. Everyone was so happy it was awesome.

I'll be heading to my Dad's tomorrow for about 11 days then returning to Molly's for my fix of her awesomeness. ^_^ Then it's just another fortnight or so at my Dad's before I return to Bristol then subsequently return to Bath moving into my house for year 2 with her (and Steven and Alison but blah >.>;). So yays.

That is all for now methinks. I shall close with a selection of photos from Latitude.

Molly gets quite shocked by Lemonade's sudden appearence on her hand.
Me eating crepe
Lemonade and the giant water lillies
Pink Sheep!
Group shot!
Squish!
Bill Bailey
The Village
The Obelisk Arena where we saw Sigur Rós
Lemonade tries to steal Molly's corn while she focuses her attention on the camera
Sigor Rós on the screen
Sigur Rós on the stage
The prettiness that was the finale of their new song, Gobbledigook.
And finally... the moon

Huzzah t'was fun. And frankly I'm so glad I spent it all with my sweetheart Molly. ^__^

All The Icky Skin

Journal Entry: Fri Jul 18, 2008, 5:00 AM

Well I've been having a rather awesometastic time at my Molly's house. Her parents are rather cool (can't argue with a roast dinner being plonked in front of you within an hour of arriving), and the journey here was very pleasant even though the underground line I planned to use was closed so I had to take an alternative route.

Monday we went out with her school/college friends though I spent the entire time being awkward and shy and zoning out a fair bit. The only friend of hers who commented on me said that I looked "frightened". ...Which I was a bit, lol.

Wednesday we went down to the seafront which was lovely and had fish and chips (though the fish batter was lame and the cod wasn't skinned so I had to peel all the icky skin off to get to the nummy fish ;_; ), but on the way back she introduced me to an awesome toy shop where I got a robot arm to pick things up and put them down again (a past time enjoyed by many), a new kazoo (which unfortunately turned out to be crap), a sliding whistle and a mini maracca. So watch out, I might have another album in the works. <3

Thursday I was a bit ill (and I'm still a little woozy and recovering) so nothing much happened.

But today we are going into town to see WALL-E, eeeeee. It looks so awesome. And then tomorrow Sigur Rós at the Latitude Festival, huzzah. So exciting. ^_^ Though scary. I'm terrified of new experiences but I know I'll enjoy it lol. If they don't play Untitled 8 I may cry but I hear it's one of the ones popular enough for them to always do it so I'm pretty sure it'll happen. =3

Oh, finally, E3 thoughts... Wii Sports looks awesome... Animal Crossing looks nice (I'll be buying it for Molly more than myself), and Sonic Unleashed continues to excite me.

That is all for the momento. Heading to Broadstairs on the day of Mon and then back here the following... friday I think. So yush.

Awesome

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 12, 2008, 5:39 PM

Don't really have anything new to update with life-wise, so this is pretty much just a note to say I won't be online as much until the end of August.

I'm going to Molly's for a week where I can get online whenever I want to but still probably won't be on that long coz I wanna hang out with her lots, lol. On the 21st I'll be going to my Dad's which is the usual drill of only being online for an hour a day between 3-5pm, and not on sundays. Then about a week and a smidge later I'll be back at Molly's again for a week or so, then back to my Dad's, then returning here (probably) on the 26th of August.

So yes. I really really can't wait to see Molly again, I've missed her so much, and will again in the next two periods of apartness, but at least after them we'll be living together for a whole two years of Uni. It's gonna be just, awesome.

Annnnd, yep, that's all. Also quite excited about seeing Sigur Rós on Saturday. S'gonna be great.

Hope you guys are all having exciting or at least vaguely enjoyable summers... See you all soon.

Enigmatic Smile

Journal Entry: Sat Jul 5, 2008, 6:37 AM

First some silly things:

Silly Thing 1

For some reason just seeing these combination of screens made me laugh lol. Check out my portrayal of her enigmatic smile! I suck at drawing on the touch screen. You'll need to be familiar with the Brain Training software for DS to get this really.

Silly Thing 2

Also the other day I finally thought up an awesome idea for an Everybody Votes channel question. If it pops up you know who made it now, lol.

Anyway, stuff has been okay lately. Missing Molly like crazy still but only another week before I visit her so yaaaays. Also Brawl has been keeping me amused and the Doctor Who finale is tonight so I'm surviving.

My laptop has been fudging up a bit lately but at least I finally got my entire hard drive backed up which is something I've been procrastinating with for a whole year practically. It seems like something with the graphics card as whenever it crashes the screen spazzes majorly beforehand. There are two ways it crashes and both are pretty weird: First one is there'll be a bit of screen that goes dead by slowly scrolling down. It's hard to describe. There'll just be a single horizontal line of black or weird scrambled black with messed up pixelly characters like "fake" code on screens in TV shows etc which will slowly stretch downwards until it's about 300 pixels or so tall, then it'll stop, the whole screen freezes, and then slowly fades to white, but not in a smooth way... in a very scary way. Turn off your GBA or DS and watch the way the image on the screen slowly dissapears to white like a smudge that slowly spreads out over the screen from the sides. That's how my laptop screen fades to white (but still with the backlight on unlike a DS screen).

The other thing that'll happen is the screen will suddenly shut off, then come back on again, with windows saying it recovered from a graphics card error in the corner. Then it'll repeat this about 5 more times before the screen goes off for good, lol. These crashes tend to happen once a day and the laptop just behaves itself as long as I leave it off for a while.

Really darn weird, but point is I have everything backed up so I'm being lazy with reformatting my computer now lol. I'm just putting up with it.

Went to the fair at my little sister's school yesterday, was there til 10pm argh. My Mum was helping at a stall and my step-dad at the BBQ so I couldn't just leave whenever I liked lol. I just sort of walked round the school a bit where I shouldn't have been lol. I like exploring.

Hmm, what else... went to the dentist for the first time in years the other day. I need a filling. I blame the new dentist! My old dentist always said my teeth are perfect. This new dentist is just being mean. ;_; Also I left my glasses on the floor and my Mum trod on them so now I need to get them fixed or new ones...

Yep so that's how exciting my life is... nothing interesting ever really happens at home lol. But I do like to update this thing occasionally.

Laugh for no reason at all

Journal Entry: Mon Jun 30, 2008, 9:25 AM

Well I had my actual birthday on the 24th but didn't really do much. Spent time with Molly, went to Pizza Hut for dinner and got presents from Molly (an awesome penguin puppet who has been named Flakey and a Mario hat cushion ^_^).

I finished NiGHTS which was quite nice and had a very heartwarming ending after I discovered there was a secret one. Though I swear the whole "let's have the characters laugh for no reason at all" thing is getting faaaar too old and ruined it really. Would have been so much cuter if they held hands, looked up at the snow and it ended there.

Brain Training is also still fun. been playing it every day and the tips are nice, though like Wii Fitness on Wii Sports my brain age does mostly depend on the random tests being ones I'm good at. D= If I get word memory I'm buggered but if I get calculations x20, number cruncher and connect maze I get awesome scores.

Also got Brawl, which is much funs. I've mostly been enjoying classic mode, adventure and stage builder. Random Brawls are fun but feel pretty much the same as Melee but with new stuff really. I realise they got rid of stuff but I don't even know what "wavedashing" or all that crap is, let alone how to do it so I don't care. I really really wish I hadn't listened to the soundtrack in advance though as it makes me all the more impatient to unlock it all and the CD item drops are -too- rare. D=

I moved back home from Uni halls for the summer and, sadly, forever. It's not exactly like I'm going to miss living there and I'm living with Molly and two really good friends next year so I know that's gonna be way better, but damn I'm a really sentimental type so leaving anywhere I've been for a while is sad for me. It took me hours to pack all my stuff and clean the flat (mostly my Mum and Step-Dad's work which I am very thankful for) but we got there in the end. Now I'm at home and glad it's all over, though I'm missing Molly toooooooooooons and can't wait to see her in a few weeks to go see Sigur Rós.

Also my Mum surprised me today with one final birthday present: The Very Hungry Caterpillar with the soft toy included.

So that brings my rather cool 2008 haul to:

Two Sigur Rós Tickets
Moneys
Mario and Simpsons Posters
Sonic Screwdriver
Sailor Jerry Rum
Old Comics I made for a friend in Primary School
Old Casette Tape I made for a friend in Primary School
Castelvania: Dawn of Sorrow
Penguin Hand Puppet
Big Mario Cap Cushion
Very Hungry Caterpillar + Toy

And... that's all I can think of for now.

The Traditional Caterpillar

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 20, 2008, 9:47 PM

Well it was my birthday party on the 18th. My college friends Steve, Will and Joe came down here to celebrate it too. I usually have a BBQ but due to lame weather and convinience we just grilled the food inside instead. It was all very yummy. My Step-Dad made his infamous burgers for us to cook the weekend before, and we also had some hot dogs, and various other thingies like potato salad, doritos and dips and humous and thingies... all very om nom nomish. We also prepared some chicken for grilling by letting it soak in some herbs and olive oil but it never got eaten in the end, alas. And of course as is tradition, a caterpillar cake. I also got some very neat stuff from my friends. A Mario and Simpsons posters from Dave, Sonic Screwdriver from Alison, a bottle of Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum from Steven, and Joe got me Castlevania for DS (only played it a bit but it seems nice, despite my dislike for RPGish stuff) as well as an old casette tape I recorded for him which came "free" with some comics I used to make him, which he also gave me... and these things were ancient, I almost completely forgot about them. I'm talking back when my age was a single digit here. All I can say is my art and storytelling have come quite a long way, lol. I still have gifts to come from Molly on the actual day which I cannot wait for. ^_^ She already gave me an AWESOME card though (related to an in-joke we had that I plan to make a comic of).

We then went out after some chatting and Wii playing, to Wetherspoon's, the Cork and Bottle and the St. Christopher Inn, our usual watering holes. Had some damn nice drinks and memories at all three. I kinda drank too much too fast at one point though and my stomach hurt a little by the third stop but I sorta just half-slept it off on Molly's shoulder. After that we went back and played pool in the common room for a while, where Alison ended up topless at one point due to Steve and her swapping shirts and him refusing to swap back unless she took hers off first, the meanie. I guess it isn't a party until someone gets naked. I'm just glad it wasn't Steve. It wouldn't be the first time had it been him... But anyway. Following this we had the traditional caterpillar cake. I forgot candles so we had imaginary ones. Unfortunately they were those mean ones that keep lighting up afterward so it took me a while to blow them out.

After the cake cutting people slowly left/fell asleep one by one. Will and I had another epic dry Weetabix eating battle like last year (this time we had 2 weetabix instead of 1), though this time with four people watching us instead of just my confused brother. It got a little too much for me at one point but I managed to finish them both. Will also achieved this before me without breaking a sweat. By the end of the evening it was just Will and I playing Mystical Ninja, Mario Bros. 3 and Mario Kart Double Dash til about 5am, when we finally went to sleep after having some pretty surreal conversations.

The day after Joe left first at noon, and the rest of us minus Alison (who left the halls of residence for the summer earlier that day also), went to Wagamama for lunch (Molly, Steven Alison and I went there only a couple of days ago too as a final year 2 housemates meal), and all was very yummy. I shall be having more interesting Japanese food during the summer too as I shall be staying with Molly for a week or so after our Sigur Rós related adventures, wheee. ^_^

After that we popped to Gamestation and I picked up Timesplitters for just £2, thank you observant Molly, and played it on her PS2 today (well, yesterday now). It's pretty fun, as hard as people said (even on easy) but I beat it in one sitting. I guess I might try normal mode at a later date or hard just to see how offensively difficult it is but for now I'm satisfied considering the tiny price I paid for it.

After this we popped back to the Cork and Bottle to retrieve Alison's coat which she left behind the night before, then bid farewell to Dave and Will at the station. Finally we headed back and mostly all fell asleepish at my flat, then hung out a bit more in the evening. I went to sleep in the corridor again giving Steve my bed but damn it felt a lil lonely and spooky without Will! Oh well. The next morning Steve and I popped to McDonalds and then I saw him off at the station too. On the way back I picked up Brain Training and NiGHTS from GAME since I've been meaning to get the former for ages and the latter was only £10. I've played a bit of both and they're quite fun. NiGHTS looked really boring when I watched it being played on youtube because I didn't really understand what was going on but now that I do it's all quite lovely. I wish the game was more... well... dream-like but I wasn't really expecting it to be. The levels are still very nice and surreal, just not in the same way real dreams actually are.

Went out again tonight with Steven and some friends of his just to keep him company since he wasn't 100% sure how conversational he'd be with these friends - but in the end it turned out to be very conversational so Molly and I just sat being anti-social by eating food, drinking non-alcoholic beverages and playing our DS's. We ended up making an AWESOME non-sensical comic on pictochat that we noted down and plan to reproduce in flash in the near future.

And... that's all I can think of for now. I shall close with a selection of photos from my birthday celebrations.

The awesome card Molly made me
Molly and I looking extremely happy
Dave, Joe and Will
Upside-down-ness
Me eating... something.
More general party-age
With the help of my hat and a pair of glasses, Steven can do a terrifyingly hilarious chemo-patient impression
In the common room during pool
And again, this time with Will and Alison
Steven at the pool table
Dave showing how big a fish he once caught was
The unfortunate orgy-related fate of my figurines

Apologies for any typos up there by the by, I wrote this at like, 4-5am, lol.

Your cup of tea

Journal Entry: Sat Jun 14, 2008, 5:33 PM

The Happening was rather good. Very much enjoyed it and had a good share of scary, funny, and downright sad bits in it. Thankfully the gore was kept very toned down which is good considering I can't stand gore-fests. A few visible bullet/glass wounds with blood coming out are the worst you ever see (which is very nice considering how gruesome some of the deaths are). It's the sort of movie that just "shows" a fictional event from the point of view of certain characters though, rather than a traditional "main character versus threat" storyline, so if you don't like those kind of "slightly inconclusive/unexplained" style of films you might not enjoy it. Also if you've seen anything else by the director you're bound to find the style very familiar, and if you didn't like his style before this won't change your mind. It very much reminded me of the recent War of the Worlds, but with more drama and less action. If that's your cup of tea, I highly recommend seeing it. I'd definately say it's worth watching at least. I doubt you'll consider it a waste of 2 hours at the end.

Anyway, here is a quiz stolen off Molly.

1) What's the last thing you put in your mouth?
Some Doritos

2) Have you ever kissed anyone named Matt?
Nope

3) What does your last text message say?
Recieved or sent? Recieved would be "Just leaving waitsose" (they spelt waitrose wrong lol), and sent would be "Either the 4 or 6 one. The 6 is safer, ut we can easily make the 4 if you'd prefer it." Well actually I know for sure I've sent at least one another one after that but that's the most recent one in my sent items box on my phone... guess I've run out of space again.

4) What was the last song you listened to?
According to iTunes' recently played songs... to be accurate, "All Star Mode" from Smash Bros. Brawl. To be slightly less geeky, the most recent actual song is "Mario Head's Fantabulous Acid Trip (Electro Extended Mix)" from Mario Murderer's (member of a forum I go to) Youtube Poop album he made. To tone down the geekiness another notch, it's Inner Universe, the Ghost in the Shell SAC Theme. To remove geekiness entirely the next most recent is Butterfly by Weezer.

5) I you hated someone and got put in charge of their funeral music, what would you play?
I wouldn't hate anyone, and even if I hated someone intently I'd never do anything like that.

6) What did you do yesterday?
I had breakfast with Molly (leftover Tuna Pasta Bake ftw), spent some more time with her (mostly sleeping and various other endeavours), then came home to my Mum's, played on the Nintendo Channel, watched my sister play on the Wii, ate BBQ for dinner, watched Doctor Who, played on the Wii some more, and watched Sonic X right around midnight thus ending yesterday.

7) What did you dream about?
Last time I dreamt I dreamt that I was at college or school and my Mum was working in the office like she did at High School for me, and I went to see her after smoking one of Steve's cigerette's and accidentally walked past the office with it in my mouth, she saw me and started accusing me and I felt all awkward and embarrased. (To clarify I seldom smoke anything IRL and when I do it's not shitty cigerettes, ugh. I have class)!

8) What's your favourite Disney character?
Most of the Toy Story, Monsters Inc and The Incredibles cast. Yes, that's all Pixar, but Disney make boring characters. There probably are a few I like but the fact that I can't think of them must mean they aren't that great.

9) How would you describe your best friend in one word?
Perfect

11) Last time you cried?
Friday, during The Happening. There's one very, VERY sad moment.

12) Who's your most religious friend?
Probably Steven.

13) Who do you trust with your life?
Molly and a handful of other close friends. I guess my family also.

14) If you could change your name to anything what would it be?
I wouldn't so much change it, but add to it. Jeremy Awesome McDudeShaw!

15) What would you do if someone told you that you were the most beautiful?
I would tell them they're obviously blind or deluded but thank them anyway. Yes I often say this to Molly when she tells me this also.

17) Do you trust all of your friends?
Yes, but some moreso than others, but that's just natural.

18) Would you move to another state or country to be with the one you love?
I want to say yes, but in all honesty I hate both change and travelling so a combination of the two would probably freak me out and take a lot of courage for me to go through with it.

19) Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?
Yes. In some cases it's a stupid reason but yes.

20) Name two things you would NOT tolerate in a relationship?
Cheating etc and not being able to at least accept some of the weird things I feel strongly about.

21) Which one of your top friends do you think would make the best prostitute?
Erm, I'm gonna go with Molly's view and say Lydia with her crazy work-dodging Yaoi ways.

22) Who is the nicest person you know?
Molly for sure, though online friend Meg also gets a special mention.

23) What is a goal you would like to accomplish in the near future?
Be happy I guess. I don't really strive for much so I can't say anything specific.

24) If you were to wake up from being in a coma for an extended time who would you call?
Probably my family and Molly.

25) Would you make a good parent ?
I've been told I probably would.

26) Where was your MySpace default picture taken?
I can't actually remember what my MySpace one is I haven't been on there in so long, but my current facebook one was taken on some random road up high on the outskirts of Bath.

27) Honestly, what's on your mind right now?
Working out what I'm going to do over summer in regards to visiting Molly and thinking about pizza and Sonic X at the same time.

28) Who knows you best?
Molly, Steve, Will and online friend Angel.

29) When is the last time you liked someone?
I still like Molly.

30) What are your plans for the weekend?
Watch more Sonic X and make some CD covers for some mix CDs I've been making over the year of Uni (think of it as a retrospective journal of the music I've been into during the year).

31) What's your favorite saying??
Person: "<Insert any statement involving a noun phrase here>."
Me: "YOU'RE a <same noun phrase>!"
E.g "Who cares? It's a fictional character!" "YOU'RE a fictional character!" "Ouch Jeremy. Ouch."

32) Have you ever punched a tree?
No.

33) Have you ever snuck someone in your house?
Nope.

34) How would you describe your relationship with your best friend?
Rather bloody good considering she's my girlfriend.

35) Morning or night person?
Both! I like to stay up all night and have a breakfast while enjoying the morning air and view before going to bed.

36) Are you there for your friends?
I try to be if possible.

37) Do you like to spend time with people?
Yeah though I occasionally like my me time where I can arrange various things and play video games with alternate music without feeling weird and other such activities.

38) Are you a forgiving person?
Too much for my own good probably.

39) Would you ever share a girl/boyfriend with your best friend?
No chance. She's not an object, and she wouldn't let me anyway, lol.

40) Have you lost a friend recently?
Nope

41) Are you talking to someone while doing this?
Only on MSN

42) Do you want a relationship right now?
Nope, I already got one and it's a pretty lovely one I must say.

And that is all.

The Dastard

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 13, 2008, 6:12 AM

Well I haven't updated this thing for over a week and a fair bit has happened... let's see...

Last week was the summer ball for our University, which was nice but not great. The first couple of hours were very fun. There were dodgems, a chocolate fountain... and stuff. But half way through once everyone was there the bar just became packed and I totally lost any positive mood after Molly and I had to wait in a huge crowd for about 45 minutes to get some drinks. And even when we got to the bar we had to wait for another 3 people who batted their eyelids at the barman (who was our friend as well the dastard). Whores. So that kinda ruined my mood for the rest of the evening, that, and I had a cold. The first half though was very fun.

Oh, in other more geeky news, check THIS out:

I finally got round to setting up my Mario Kart DS scaletrix I wasted £25 on. It's pretty crappy. The connection to the cars just gets worse and worse the more we play it but it was kinda fun to set up and it's an awesome novelty item to have all the same. The track is actually quite cool as well, they should totally use it for a Mario Circuit in one of the games.

What else...Alison slept in my kitchen last night because of a party going on in the flat above her... The person who hosted it I actually met in fresher's week during a flat party of my own so she got my number. Also during the first few weeks of Uni I kept getting mail for a Jeremy Scott apparently living in the same room as me and I decided he was probably an evil clone of me or a doppelganger. Turns out he was a real person who lived in a completely different block (and a totally different person from me, quite the partier/druggy so I hear). And then tonight after a long period of no Jeremy Scott mix-ups, the host of the party, the girl I met in fresher's, calls up and asks me to borrow something (can't remember what now, didn't even know what it was), before realising she dialed the wrong Jeremy, and she was looking for Jeremy Scott. It's so cool to have one final grand Jeremy Scott "encounter" to end the year. I've never actually met the guy and only ever seen him a couple of times.

I've been recently watching through Sonic X again. It's been so long and I've never actually watched it all the way through in order from start to finish so I've been very much enjoying it. Even though I've had the full series for ages there are some episodes (mainly in the filler-ish ep 14-26 area) I've never even seen or only seen the dubs of, so yes, it's quite a fun experience to be doing so.

I swear I had more stuff in the past few weeks to archive on the blogosphere but alas I've forgotten it all apparently.

Anyway today I am off to see The Happening with Molly and looking forward to it. I don't really like horror/thriller of any variety that much, but I've seen trailers and the director is so good at plot twists. I really want to know what the mystery behind the whole plot is.

That's all for now!

Fantastically glorious

Journal Entry: Sun Jun 1, 2008, 4:51 PM

Firstly, even if you don't care about my life, if you're a Katamari fan just skip to that bit with the thumbnail a few paragraphs down. Seriously.

Well, Steve came to visit this weekend which was lovely. We went out on Friday night and had a merry old time, though admittidly it ended a bit crap because he was very drunk and passed out on my bed, and I was very tired and therefore pissed off, but eventually swallowed my pride, accepted my lack of aggression and slept in the camp bed intended for him anyway.

Second day was funs because we went to Wagamama for lunch. Damn that's good eating... I had this spicy dish called Chicken Kare Lomen, which was sort of like Chicken Ramen but with a spicy soup made with shrimp paste and chillies, and less stuff (just chicken breast and noodles... num num num). It was gorgeous and won me a little respect after Steve and Steven tried the soup and were astonished by it's spiciness.

Second night was far more eventful since we -all- got quite drunk, though Alison more than any of us and... well let's say some interesting though retrospectively funny things happened. Steve again got away with sleeping in my bed since that night I slept at Molly's and he spent most of the evening smoking cigars and watching comedies with Steven who he hit it off with remarkably well. After we deposited Alison back in her bed anyway. Shockingly she made it to work on time the next day too, so after Steven, Steve, Molly and I went for lunch we went and saw her at work and gave her biscuits. Biscuits solve everything! We also popped round to GAME and said hi to Lydia (who works there too) which brings me onto my next point:

Just look at this.

Lydia is just fantastically glorious. We had this idea for a while but she ended up being the one who finally brought it to life. Just awesome. While you're there, seriously, check out the rest of her gallery. Her art is amazing and she needs more recognition on dA.

Anyway now I am debating whether to awesomely play through Zelda OoT in one sitting or play some more Banjo-Kazooie... I have a whole night to kill as I am letting Molly sleep in my bed since she has an interview tomorrow and there is a party in the courtyard tonight in my Halls of residence. My room is on the outside of the building but hers is on the inside resulting in much noise there and no noise here. Stupid students and their inconsiderate parties! I could crawl in with her instead of staying up all night but I'm not really all that tired and want her to get her beauty sleep for tommorange anyways.

Here's a photo dump of Steve and Steven being gay together on the first night because it's hilarious.

The Fight
The Kiss
The blatant sexual tension
The... I don't really know what
The grope
The finale

My friends are awesome.
