Raaaandom journal. Mostly games and desk related.
I finished Kirby's Adventure Wii at last. Really enjoyed it, awesome soundtrack too. At first it felt REALLY by-the-numbers Kirby but in HD (well... HD compared to the DS lol), but I really warmed to it later on. Stuff like the boot/cannon/key/super transformations/chase sequences really kept the game fresh and challenging compared to previous Kirbys. Also the Spear/Whip/Leaf abilities are sooooo good.
Anyway aside from that the only exciting thing in my life is FINALLY getting a new desk and chair. For the last year and a half I have been living like this:

BUT JUST LOOK AT ME NOW.

I got it from Staples and it's actually been a long time coming. My Dad recieved the delivery of the chair and desk, but the desk box said "2 of 2" on it. The delivery driver said "yeah that's the other one" (points at chair) but the chair is completely seperate... and had "1 of 1" written on it. The driver still insisted he had nothing else and went off. So I called Staples and they said they'd get it investigated and call me back the next day. They did not. Molly called them and they said they weren't sure what had happened and would send out another box "1 of 2" on its own, which also never arrived (I waited a whole week to give due consideration to all the snow we had). I called again and said they'd investigate over the weekend and call me back Monday. My Dad then somehow found out that it had been delivered and the people a couple of houses down were holding onto it for us. The driver left no note to tell us this. Either way we picked it up on Monday, and Staples still didn't call back. So... yeah they can suss this all out on their own geez. The customer service people were lovely and helpful but geez TWO people not calling back when they said they would is a bit ridiculous.
Ah well. We also have a new cooker now so, aside from mutual use of a washing machine in their basement, our half of the house is finally independant from my Dad's half of the house which is a nice feeling. We've also been cooking way more healthily due to the convenience of it all so yeah, that's been good.
Oh, finally, Bath was nice! Spent time with both family and Uni friends a fair bit, and Molly and I accidentally a whole £80 at Waterstone's. Out of that I got Oliver Jeffers' two newest books (favourite picture book author), Scott Pilgrim Colour Volume 2, and this lovely thing.

IT'S SO BIG and was £20 but is such a lovely thing to own, I have no regrets. The little introductions to the book and the TF2 comics are hilarious too.
Speaking of comics, hourly comics day on Friday!
