If you predominantly draw characters, which sentence best describes your method for general one-off pictures of them not intended to depict a particular scene or story?

I need to draw the face and settle on an expression before I can solidify the pose of the rest of the body.
I need to have the pose complete and working before I can decide for sure on a facial expression.
I pretty much always flesh out my facial expressions and body poses in tandem with one another.
I don't draw characters.
